Colorado Reciprocity Groups

What is the Role of Reciprocity Groups?

Reciprocity Groups provide an opportunity for member chapters to share successes/ideas – the best yearbook; chapter fundraising ideas; great socials; how to find project candidates and for sharing ideas with those chapters who need membership support. Having a guest speaker – inspirational, leadership or a project recipient.  Colorado currently has 16 reciprocities.

Reciprocity Groups and Unaffiliates:

Prior to 2014, Reciprocity Groups were a primary resource for our unaffiliated sisters in finding new P.E.O. chapters.  In 2014, Colorado State Chapter Bylaws were amended to include the appointment of a State Unaffiliate Chair.  Since 2014, it has been the role of our State Unaffiliate Chair to maintain the State Unaffiliate and Introduction of a Woman Not a P.E.O. lists and to provide the lists for posting on the CSC website.  In addition, the lists are sent to all local chapter presidents, membership chairs and reciprocity representatives. Each local chapter is responsible for reporting changes/updates to the Unaffiliate lists directly to the State Unaffiliate Chair. Reciprocity Group meetings are a wonderful time to share successful invitations to transfer or new chapter initiates.  Please refer to the Membership Committee link on the website for Unaffiliate Lists.

Colorado P.E.O. Groups

What is a P.E.O. Group?

P.E.O.s who live in retirement or resort communities—all year or part of the year—can stay active and engaged with the Sisterhood by participating in a P.E.O. Group. These groups provide an excellent opportunity to welcome unaffiliated P.E.O.s, promote the acquaintance of all members in a city or community and promote interest in the projects of the Sisterhood.

Colorado has two official P.E.O. Groups:

Estes Park P.E.O. Group
Estes Park Group welcomes active sisters who live full or part-time in Estes Park.
