What does training mean to you and the P.E.O. organization?

Training presents an opportunity to expand the knowledge base of those executive board members new to their positions. Training and development provides the individual with benefits that make the training time a worthwhile investment.

What are the benefits of training?

Improve performance – the person who receives the necessary training is more able to perform the requirements of their job. The training will give the person a greater understanding of their responsibilities within their role, and in turn build their confidence.

Strengthen skills – A training program allows a member to strengthen the skills that are needed to improve. Providing the necessary training creates an overall knowledgeable staff who can take over for one another if needed and work on teams or independently.

Consistency – Training ensures that the board members have a consistent experience and background knowledge. The consistency is particularly relevant for P.E.O.’s basic policies and procedures. All new board members need to be aware of the expectations and procedures within P.E.O.

Increased productivity and adherence to quality standards – Productivity usually increases when training is implemented. Increased efficiency will ensure success in all areas.

Increased innovation – Ongoing training can encourage creativity. New ideas can be formed as a direct result of training and development.

Enhances P.E.O.’s reputation and profile – Having a successful training strategy helps develop our organization and make it more attractive to potential new members.
